I am a wife to Ben, mama to Jonas and Bridget, and a girl trying to embrace the life God has planned for me.
Hi. Do you sell your bags? I absolutely love them.
Thanks, Lynn! No, I don’t. I haven’t designed any bags myself, but maybe someday. 🙂
Not coincidentally I was listening to “Beauty: the Invisible Embrace” by John O’Donohue, when shortly thereafter I happened upon your website (while searching for recipes.) He speaks about finding Beauty, the Divine Essence of life in such a poignant way that I often tear up. As I did when I read “Four.” Ask and you shall receive. 🙂 I don’t have children, don’t care to.. but I am looking forward to reading each of your posts, slowly, over time, with great relish. Thank you for finding and sharing with me/us the many forms beauty in your life experience.
Hi Susie, It’s always humbling to know that something I write can touch someone else.
Admiring your finished projects, stumbled on your blog while searching Amy Butler swing bags made up. Noticed your Goethe quote and see in your about you are sensitive to Gods leading. At 45, must say I wish I had done it Gods way in my youth…. a little regret right now about what might have been. But the good news is “forgetting the things that are past, pressing on…” God bless you and happy sewing, creating and celebrating beauty. Aren’t we glad we know the One who invented color????????????
Indeed, I think that knowing the Creator makes everything about creative pursuits so much more fulfilling and meaningful.
And I must say that I have my own regrets over youthful stupidity, but what a blessing that those things do not define us and that our standing before God has nothing to do with our own sinfulness, but only Christ’s righteousness!
Your mei tais look really comfortable! Do you have a pattern? My mother-in-law said she’ll make me one, and I’d like it be padded like the ones you make.
Thanks! I don’t have an online pattern, but if you do a search for “mei tai tutorial” you should come up with quite a few good options.
